4/20 one month on the trail

So today marks 30 days on the Appalachian trail  and im loveing every  min of it last night we camped on top of beauty spot NC ( it lived up to its name with an amazing Sun set  its a big grassy bald ). Today after 9 miles  we came to a road that 3 miles to the east  had cafe with big bergers and good milk shakes, then back to the trail for the last 8 miles for the day .  Were looking at a few days of rain, yey

AT diet plan

The AT diet is the best one out there im down about  30lbs in 4 weeks and eat any and every thing I want in town . The only hard part is you have to hike 18 + miles a day with a 30lb pack every day over towering mts

4/16 the first 300

Today's mile stone was passing the 300 mile mark on the trail.  The last 2 days out if hot springs have been hot it been mid 80s and barly any wind, so ive been sucking down the water I cant wate to get to Some rivers I can swim in . In 30 miles i get my first pair of new shoes  I can't wate the set im rocking now are falling apart. Happy trails till next time

Hot springs NC

We made it thur the Smokeys in  4 and a haf days,its nice to bealbe to camp any were we want agen. I hit the 270 mile mark as we walked in to town the trail goes right down the middle of town. Were taking  a zero day here to let the feet and lags rest and might do some slack packing this weekend( like day hiking,only carying a day pack and Mabe some little Debbies to give hikers as we pass them walking south,

4/6 Rocky top Tennessee

After the crazy storms lastnight the trails were  all mud today, the first 11 miles went by fast we were done by 2 and so we had an early dinner and.sat around till 7pm. The temp was dropping fast with the clear sky so we set are sites on a Sun set on Rocky top mt and the next shelter 6 miles past . The sun Set was amazing  we had 360 der views ,I got some great pics And a video ill post those wen I have service . Tonight is going to be.some what cold its about 40 in my tent and its only11 pm, I might zipp up my sleeping bag.for the first time tonight!! I think we might have the most night time miles of the hikers out now we have done about 40 miles in the dark.  Less than 2000 miles to go !!

First day in the Smokeys

4/5 welcome to the Smokeys

2 of the last 3 days have been spent doing nothing but hiking up hill. Today was hot and humet and we had a 3000 ft clime in about 3 miles this was the first time in the hike were I would have rather stayed in town this morning, but the view from the top were amazing. I have a video ill put up wen I get to town . Right now im sitting in my tent well a storm rages out side with hall and lighting and who knows what, so to all you out there that reed this I would love to see comments and words of wisdom and inspiration, its nice on days like today were the clime was taking everything I had to see the things you all weight.
